Tara R. Robinson, BSN, PhD is owner and CEO of Zugunruhe Coaching LLC.
Dr. Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She received training from Mentor-Coach LLC of Bethesda, MD, an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited program. She is a member of both the the ICF and International Association of Coaches (IAC). Dr. Robinson's experience includes a career change from nursing, where she worked as a critical care and surgical nurse in a large hospital in the southern US. After six years of nursing experience, she spent several months as a naturalist-guide in the Costa Rican rainforest before enrolling at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She was a pre-doctoral fellow of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, while conducting her dissertation research in the Republic of Panama where she studied animal behavior. She did post-doctoral studies in genetics at University of Miami (FL) and Auburn University. She won the Auburn University Department of Biological Sciences Outstanding Teaching Award for a Lecturer in 2002 for her genetics teaching. Prior to founding Zugunruhe Coaching LLC, Dr. Robinson spent four years as a research assistant professor at Oregon State University. She has taught several upper-division university courses via distance education including genetics. Dr. Robinson is the author of Genetics for Dummies, part of Wiley's well known book series, as well as numerous scientific papers. She has mentored many graduate students and undergraduates including pre-Med and pre-VetMed. |
